“I’m thinking about creating the world’s most expensive cupcake” said Chef Ludovic Lefebvre of Ludo Bites, West Hollywood, as he prepared his savory Foie Gras Chantilly Chocolate Cupcake.
What is a savory cupcake? One that’s not considered inherently sweet because of a dominating salty/spicy meat or vegetable ingredient. Sweet and savory compliment each other. You’ll find many savory cupcakes paired with sweetness from a fruity topping or sauce.

If Foie Gras Chantilly is not your thing, you could always substitute Maple-Bacon Coulis, Caramelized Almond Dragées or Balsamic-Maple Syrup. Yeah. Okay. Like Burger King, you can have this cupcake your way.
