Sprinkles’ Key Lime Cupcake made it’s return yesterday. The best part? I happened to be one of the 25 Tweeters to whisper “Zing!” for a freebie cupcake. Free food always tastes good, but this cupcake did not disappoint. It was delicious. Sprinkles really put the lime in this cupcake. Lots of it!

By the way, recession? What recession? In the past week, I’ve seen crowds lined up at Sprinkles before 10 AM. The customers at Sprinkles didn’t just buy one cupcake. They carried out boxes in shopping bags. In Lake Forest, a new cupcakery was doing brisk business even as they preparing to close after a 14-hour day. At Frosted in Long Beach, California they turned away many disappointed customers before closing time because they sold out!

What time did you get there to get the free cupcake? I see their tweets about the free cupcakes, but I always figure that I will be too late to get a free one.
