It kinda sucks, eh?

Coco’s Bakery Restaurant is chain of family-style restaurants based in the Western U.S., primarily in California. I love their all day breakfast menu. In early April they began a new promotion featuring the iconic characters from the Peanuts © comic strip. Coco’s doesn’t normally sell cupcakes so it was fun to see these in the display case.

Each Peanuts © Cupcake was only $1.99. A great deal. A full size chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and sprinkles. The most appealing aspect is the photo image cookie topper crowning each cupcake. The cookie topper features an image of one of the Peanuts gang. Linus and Peppermint Patty arrived at our table.

The cupcakes had great eye appeal. They look like the kind Mom used to bake way back when. The milk chocolate frosting was thick and sweet. The cake was good but tasted more like a brownie. The sugar cookie topper was covered with an edible photo image of one of the 5 main Peanuts’ characters. And, it was cute. The cupcake was definitely worth the price if you’re in the mood for a cupcake.

Are you a Peanuts © fan? Click on the contest image above, which leads to Coco’s website. You could win Peanuts © DVD’s, tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County, California or Coco’s gift cards and free baked goodies.
